Denver International Airport employees who signed up for a snow-removal program “willfully violated” rules and policies and wrongly collected overtime pay, Denver’s auditor reported Thursday.
The 11-page audit report from Dennis Gallagher’s office faulted the airport for lax oversight and faulty internal procedures.
Jeff Green, a spokesman for the airport, said that while DIA wants to tighten time-keeping controls, it doesn’t believe workers engaged in intentional fraud.
