SANTA ANA, Calf. — A jury has convicted a man of murdering three people, including a couple who were tied to an anchor and thrown off their yacht in Southern California.

The jury late Monday afternoon found Skylar Deleon guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and special circumstances for financial gain and multiple victims.

Tom and Jackie Hawks were thrown from their yacht in 2004 while showing the boat to who they thought was a prospective buyer.

Prosecutors say the third victim was killed in Mexico after he gave Deleon $50,000.
