DENVER—Classes on war, peace and politics by such speakers as Vincent Harding, a religion professor and associate of Martin Luther King Jr., along with a concert by Rage Against the Machine are part of plans by anti-war activists during the Democratic National Convention.

A coalition of 24 local and national groups announced a lineup of speakers and events at a news conference Wednesday, about 50 yards from a fenced-in area designated for protesters when the convention starts at the Pepsi Center Monday. The activists will be based at a nearby city park during the day but plan to sleep in the fenced-off area because a city curfew prohibits staying overnight in city parks.
