BOULDER — A motorcyclist killed in an accident Sunday has been identified as Conor P. McMahon, 27, of Boulder.
McMahon was killed trying to pass a car that had stopped to make a left turn on Colorado 74, the State Patrol said in a news release.
The Audi sedan was traveling west and had stopped to make a left-hand turn. The motorcycle was a few vehicles behind. The motorcycle swung out to pass the other cars and the stopped Audi, then braked hard and started a skid before hitting the back of the Audi, throwing the rider off.
McMahon, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.
