GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Grand Junction police have issued a summons to five people in connection with an effort to block Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s motorcade.
Police say Palin’s motorcade was heading to a campaign rally Monday when protesters who let police motorcycles pass them rushed in front of other vehicles in the group.
Twenty-year-old Donald Dean Flynn of Fruita 19-year-old Margaret Hope Aneloski of Grand Junction were both cited Thursday with obstructing government operations and obstructing a highway or passageway.
Twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Neal Richards, 20-year-old Mallory Pam Rice and 22-year-old Jay Sandstedt were cited with the same misdemeanor charges Wednesday.
The investigation is continuing.
