There’s so much to do this Halloween, it’s scary. Halloween’s a holiday for adults as much as it is for kids — for different reasons, of course — and every year the list of parties gets longer.

Haunting a friend’s house is always fun, but if the party’s dead, rise up and paint the town blood red. Happy freaks are everywhere on the weirdest night of the year. As long as you have a costume, you have a place to be for Halloween.

Some spooky celebrations to consider:

After a quick, yet effective remodel, Zen Ultra Lounge (940 Lincoln St.) took over the former DC10 space Thursday. Tonight, Zen dives into the fray with a “Haunted Temple” Halloween party.

Costumes are encouraged. Ladies might want to show up early — there’s free champagne for women from 9 to 11 p.m. It’s free to get in; call 720-771-3500 for bottle-service reservations.

Double Daughters (1632 Market St.; 303-623-3504) has a lock on goth-chic, so it’s fitting that the bar’s Halloween party is a little dark and over-the-top. The theme is “The Divine Comedy,” as in Dante’s trilogy of the afterlife. The party started Thursday with “Inferno,” and continues tonight and Saturday with “Purgatorio” and “Paradiso.” It’s probably wise to RSVP at , since the bar is in a busy area and will likely be in high demand all weekend.

The Curtis Hotel (1405 Curtis St.; 303-571-0300) will be hugely haunted tonight for a massive party sponsored in part by Jeremy Ostermiller’s Lead Alliance Media Group. Four ballrooms will be transformed into spookhouses with themes like “The Bates Motel” and the “Vampire Lair.” Live bands and other entertainers will keep the party alive, Frankenstein-style. General admission tickets are $25 each. Individual VIP tickets are $50, but for $650 8 people can share 2 bottles of Grey Goose vodka and get the star treatment.

Want to spend the night? Mention the “Haunted Hotel” when making a reservation and get a room for $169.

It’ll look like Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video at Rockstar Aaron’s Zombie Party at Rockbar (3015 E. Colfax Ave.; 303-322-4444) tonight. “Zombie Punch” will be on special, as well as super-scary shots of the ultimate cheap booze, MD 2 0/20. There’s no cover, but lurch to the front of the line if you’re in costume.

If a rockin’ Halloween sounds good, head to “Monsters of Mock” at Three Kings (60 S. Broadway; 303-777-7370) tonight. Local bands like Forth Yeer Freshmen and Krakatau will cover songs from classic rock groups, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top and Metallica. Feel free to dress up like your favorite whiskey-swiling, wailing rock star. Admission is $8.

Finally: If Saturday’s Halloween hangover leaves you feeling more werewolf than human, Below (1422 Larimer St.) hosts a chilled-out version of a Halloween party. “What Lies Below” features body-painted models, music by DJ Diabolic and “prowling creatures of the nightlife.”

With its dark furniture, moody lighting and crosses everywhere, Below’s a perfect place to put Halloween in its grave — until next year.

Moving on.

It’s business as usual at Beta (1909 Blake St.; 303-383-1909) this weekend, meaning the Halloween party was on Thursday and now it’s time to get down to business with some world-famous DJs. (Emphasis on the “get down.”)

Pete Tong, fresh off a summer in Ibiza, Spain, lands at Beta tonight. He’s on a North American tour, spinning a daily blend of electro-tinged house.

Tong’s a legend in his native United Kingdom, where he hosts the influential “Essential Selection” show on BBC Radio 1.

On Saturday, art project/electronic-music collective Fischerspooner pop in to Beta for a DJ set, too.

Tong tickets are $10 in advance at , but buy them fast — ticket sales end at 5 p.m. today. Tickets to the Fischerspooner show are also $10 on .
