CHICAGO — A Chicago commuter-train engineer has resigned a day before a hearing into allegations that he let a teenager operate a train. Metra officials say they learned about the allegations last month after the 18-year-old apparently put pictures of the unauthorized ride on his MySpace page. The engineer was suspended.
