Getting your player ready...
LINCOLN, Neb.—Bo Pelini says it makes no sense for him and his players to “beat themselves over the head” with the 62-28 loss at Oklahoma.
The first-year Nebraska coach said Monday that the Cornhuskers need to focus on finishing the last three regular-season games strong.
Nebraska has a 5-4 record and needs to win one more game to be eligible for a bowl. The more wins the Huskers notch the rest of the way, the better their bowl destination.
Pelini said he senses that the players have a good attitude despite the 34-point loss to the Sooners. The Huskers play Saturday at home against Kansas—a team that beat them 76-39 last year.
