A patrol deputy in Garfield County arrested the suspected owner of a field of marijuana plants this week, after the man ran from the woods near where the plants were found in September.

When they found the 890 plants in a canyon near Parachute, officers also found information with the name of Humberto Flores.

Tuesday a patrol deputy saw Flores run from the area, jump into a mini-van on Garfield County Road 309 and speed away.

When police stopped the van, Flores, 24, was accompanied by German Ortiz-Delgado, 26, and Luis Luna Flores, 31. Deputies also found in the van a trash bag holding about 10 pounds of freshly cut marijuana.

All three men where charged with two felony counts each of cultivation and possession of marijuana.
