A 27-year-old Sheridan High School teacher who allegedly had sex with a male student has been formally charged.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey charged Melissa Snow with three counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, with one of the charges alleging a pattern of behavior.
Snow is free on a $50,000 bond and was suspended from her job.
She was arrested Nov. 5 after a joint investigation between the Denver and Sheridan police departments.
A tip from the school led investigators to believe that Snow had sex with the boy more than once at a location in Denver.
Snow will appear in Denver County Court on Thursday morning for her arraignment.
