An Amber Alert issued for a missing 15-year-old girl from Pagosa Springs was canceled this afternoon, although the girl is still missing.
When police issued the alert Tuesday, Pagosa Springs police said Kanyon Nicely was believed to be with a white male traveling to Mexico in a stolen white Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel pickup, Colorado license plates 534-LZA. The truck has signs for PAP Paving on the driver and passenger doors, and an extended cab and a 100-gallon fuel tank in the bed. Authorities believe the driver could make it to Mexico without refueling.
The driver is identified as 20-year-old Travis Farmer, who has blue eyes, brown hair, is 5-foot-8 and weighs 156 pounds.
The truck was stolen Monday night and was last seen in the Pagosa Springs area around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Because of Farmer’s criminal history, authorities said they were treating the incident as a kidnapping.
Kanyon Nicely is described as a white female with brown eyes, black hair cut above her shoulders, 5-foot-7 and 117 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Pagosa Springs Police Department at 970-264-4151.
