A 15-year-old Pagosa Springs girl has been found safe at the Hoover Dam today, and the man with her was arrested.
Colorado authorities haven’t yet said what the girl, Kanyon Nicely, and 20-year-old Travis Farmer were doing at the major tourist attraction near Las Vegas.
Las Vegas TV stations reported that Hoover Dam police ran the plates of the car Farmer was driving and found it was stolen. It turned out to be the second stolen vehicle.
The Amber Alert issue late Tuesday advised that Farmer drove off in a truck from his job. The truck was noticeable for its paving company logos and the 100-gallon fuel tank in its bed.
Pagosa Springs police said Farmer left a note at his sister’s home in Pagosa Springs saying he was afraid to return to prison in a separate case.
Police said Wednesday they thought Farmer was headed to Mexico.
Officials have not elaborated on the relationship, if any, between Nicely and Farmer.
