Early North Park ice.
Word arrives from veteran North Park angler Phil Small that ice has come early to the trout-rich lakes in the high valley around Walden. Small, a Fort Collins resident, reported finding East Delaney Butte Lake completely frozen over on a recent visit. South Delaney had only a limited amount of open water near mid-lake, while North Delaney, the largest and deepest of the three, was half frozen.
Antero closed to boats.
