CASTLE ROCK — The Douglas County district attorney has charged two men with more than 120 felony counts each in connection with a crime spree that ended after a sheriff’s deputy was shot and wounded.
Charges against Taylor Lynn Moudy, 19, and Brandin Eugene Kreuzer, 19, range from criminal mischief to attempted first-degree murder of a police officer.
The two allegedly were driving away from a burglary in a stolen car June 28 when police tried to pull them over. Gunfire erupted and a deputy was wounded.
The car stopped in a ditch and its occupants fled into a forest.
Moudy and Kreuzer were arrested last week and are being held on bonds of $2 million and $3 million, respectively.
