A 63-year-old man was hit by a car about 7 a.m. today near the Oberon Middle School in Arvada.
Susan Medina, spokeswoman for the Arvada Police Department, said the man, described as a resident of the neighborhood, was conscious when he was loaded into an ambulance.
He was taken to St. Anthony Central Hospital.
Medina said she did not know if the man had connections with the school or if any children witnessed the accident.
Medina said the female driver of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, stayed at the scene after the accident.
