NEW YORK — A California man accused of driving to New Jersey and fatally shooting his estranged wife and another man inside a church Sunday has been captured in Georgia.
New Jersey district U.S. Marshal James Plousis says Joseph M. Pallipurath, 27, was captured around midnight Monday east of Atlanta.
Pallipurath is suspected of killing 24-year-old Reshma James inside the St. Thomas Syrian Orthodox Knanaya Church in Clifton. Also killed was Dennis John Mallosseril, 25, who witnesses say tried to intervene as the couple argued.
