The Avalanche on Tuesday recalled defenseman Kyle Cumiskey from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League.

Cumiskey leads all Monster defensemen in scoring with eight points — one goal and seven assists — in 16 games.

He was recalled by the Avalanche Nov. 6 and appeared in one game before being reassigned.

During the 2007-08 season, Cumiskey appeared in 38 games with the Avalanche, recording five assists.

Also Tuesday, the Avalanche placed forward Darcy Tucker on injured reserve with a knee injury suffered in Monday night’s game in Anaheim, Calif. He’s expected to be sidelined for about four weeks.
