It’s the ultimate cougar call.
Bischoff Hervey Entertainment (bhe.tv) is holding open auditions 5-8 p.m. Monday at North restaurant in Cherry Creek. The company is producing a reality show for E! Network that will feature recently divorced women, or women currently going through a divorce, who are “attractive, outgoing, have a great personality and are looking to celebrate their reintroduction into the single life, and most importantly, are going to receive or have received a large amount of money from that nasty former other half.”
“Isn’t this awesome,” says casting guy Mark Block. Yes, it is. It is awesome. The show, with the working title “Suddenly Single,” would follow the woman and her friends as they stage some grand celebration of singlehood in, say, Las Vegas.
May I come?
Santa style.
Watch out for more than 500 Santas marauding through LoDo on Saturday night. It’s the Colorado Santa Claus Pub Crawl — and it’s a sight to behold.
Organized by Albin Ulle and Will Hamilton, the St. Nick-in has come down in LoDo since 2002. It started with 14 people, guy Santas and female elves and Santa’s helpers. And, oh, how it’s grown.
The good part: Everyone brings unwrapped toys for kids.
“I like to think we’re doing some good,” Ulle says. “But we’re still a big sea of of red hats and white beards stumbling through LoDo. To see 500 Santas taking up three or four blocks, stopping traffic, well, it’s a very exciting thing to be a part of. We’re an impromptu parade.”
Everyone is welcome, just get yourself a Santa suit (Wal-Mart and Target have good, cheap ones) and hop on board at Fado at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, group picture at 5:30 p.m., on to Breckenridge Brewery at 6 p.m., Retro Room at 7:30 p.m., Theorie at 9 p.m. and ending at Jackson’s at 10:30 p.m. It’ll be covered this year by HDNet’s “Deadline.”
Ho ho ho.
