Holiday travelers this season should hope they’re passing through the 10 airports deemed the nation’s healthiest. More than long lines, surly ticket agents and TSA guards, these airports, Health magazine says, offer nutritious food, special relaxation zones, walking paths, the latest safety technology and more. The magazine gave props to Denver International for its solar energy usage, art, close to 75 percent on-time arrivals, food options and free Wi-Fi. The magazine looked at data from government reports, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, JD Power, Skytrax, Flightstats, Airports Council International, and the airports themselves and then asked a panel of expert judges to help choose the 10 healthiest across the country. Here are the top 10:
1. Phoenix Sky Harbor International
2. Baltimore/Washington International
3. O’Hare International (Chicago)
4. Detroit Metropolitan
5. Denver International
6. Washington National
7. Dallas/Fort Worth International
8. Logan International (Boston)
9. Portland International (Oregon)
10. Philadelphia International
