Authorities are looking for the driver of a vehicle who struck a 13-year-old Littleton girl today on a frontage road near South Wadsworth Boulevard, then left the scene.

The Colorado State Patrol said that at about 6:40 a.m. Taylor Hunt was walking north, crossing the frontage road to get to a bus stop, when she was struck by a small passenger vehicle.

Hunt was on her way to Ken Caryl Middle School. She was seriously injured and taken to Littleton Hospital, according to the State Patrol.

Patrol officers said the vehicle likely sustained front-end damage.
