Some facts about the new distribution model for the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News:
— Begins in March
— The Detroit News will be delivered to homes on Thursdays and Fridays only; the Detroit Free Press will be delivered on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. News subscribers will receive the Free Press at home on Sundays.
— Subscriptions will cost $12 a month in the Detroit area and $14 a month in the rest of the state.
— Subscribers will have access to electronic editions of the papers online every day.
— Copies of both papers will be available as single-copy sales at 18,000 coin boxes and stores around Michigan every day.
— Single-copy sales will continue to cost 50 cents, $1.50 for the Sunday Free Press.
