SAN FRANCISCO — Billionaire philanthropists are donating $25 million to the University of California-San Francisco toward building a new stem-cell research center. University officials announced the donation Wednesday from the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation. The money will help fund a $123 million laboratory building to bring all the university’s stem-cell research under one roof.
