DENVER—Prosecutors say a Denver woman faces charges for allegedly stealing more than $3 million while working as a payroll manager for a large Denver oil and gas drilling company.

Thirty-four-year-old Jennifer Elaine Bundy was arrested Tuesday on felony theft and computer crime charges.

The Denver District Attorney’s office says Bundy used the identities of former employees and created at least 25 fictitious employees, then had their paychecks deposited in direct-deposit accounts that she controlled.

The arrest affidavit says Bundy used the scheme to steal more than $3 million from Ensign United States Drilling of Denver between 2001 and 2008.

Bundy remains in the Denver County Jail on $1 million bond. She is scheduled to appear in court Friday for advisement.
