A man’s body was found about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at the front gate of a small apartment building at 1465 Wolff St. in northwest Denver, the apparent victim of a stabbing, police said.

Sonny Jackson, spokesman for the Denver Police Department, said the body was on the sidewalk near the front gate, which is attached to a tall wooden fence.

“We are investigating this as a homicide,” Jackson said. “We will have to figure out what happened.”

A passer-by alerted police to the body after he saw the person in the snow.
