COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Two deer have been illegally killed with arrows in a Colorado Springs neighborhood. A third was wounded and may die.
State wildlife managers say the incidents are related but they don’t know how many people are involved. They’ve offered a $1,000 reward for information.
On Tuesday, a 12-point buck was killed in a front yard after it had been shot with three arrows and left a trail of blood across several lawns.
The first incident was reported in early December when a buck with an arrow in its side was spotted browsing next to a high school.
The Division of Wildlife says the wound is infected and the deer may have to be killed.
A week later, an arrow-riddled buck whose head had been cut off was found a block away.
