HONOLULU — Bianca Smith was nearly perfect from long range as she tallied 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Colorado women’s basketball team to a 67-55 victory over Hawaii in the final game of the Rainbow Wahine Classic.
Smith shot 6-for-7 from 3-point range. Kara Richards scored 12 points and also had seven rebounds to help the Buffaloes (8-4).
Catherine Cho led Hawaii (3-10) with 15 points.
Colorado also beat Pepperdine on Saturday and was the only team to go undefeated in the tournament. Brittany Spears added 14 points and six rebounds for the Buffs, who start their Big 12 Conference schedule Saturday in Boulder against Baylor.
Northern Colorado 66, Peru State (Neb.) 53
GREELEY — Whitley Cox scored a game-high 19 points to lead three Bears in double figures as Northern Colorado earned its 500th victory.
The Bears raised their record to 500-491 (.505) since the school started a women’s basketball program in 1974.
Courtney Stoermer scored 14 points and Kate Kevorken added 10 for UNC (7-7, 1-1 Big Sky). Caitlin Anderson led the Wildcats (5-8, 0-1) with 13 points and Joey O’Neill grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.
After 12 lead changes, the Bears opened up their biggest margin, 13 points, in the final minute.

Regis 99, Peru (Neb.) St. 53 The host Rangers (5-7) went on a 29-6 scoring run in the first half in a nonconference rout. Matt Rosinski led Regis with a career-high 37 points.
