COLUMBIA, Mo.—Matt Lawrence did not start for Missouri on Wednesday night, a second lineup change for the Tigers’ Big 12 home opener against Colorado.
Coach Mike Anderson suspended forward Leo Lyons indefinitely after his arrest on minor traffic charges and for failing to pay a traffic fine from 2006 on Sunday night. Lyons could be back on Saturday against Iowa State.
Lawrence had started the first 16 games this year and all but one game last season. His benching reflected a bit of a shakeup after Missouri lost its conference opener at Nebraska on Saturday.
Junior Keith Ramsey and freshman Kimmie English both got their first start of the season.
Lyons, the Tigers’ second-leading scorer, was in street clothes at the end of the bench.
