A man and a woman were found dead in a rural home in Adams County on Thursday morning, and authorities believe they were murdered. The names of the victims were not released.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday night was executing a search warrant at the home, in the 42000 block of East 144th Avenue, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Candi Baker.
“Foul play is suspected. It’s being handled as a double homicide,” Baker said.
No suspects had been identified as of Thursday night, Baker said. A neighbor was concerned about the residents of the home and went there and saw an injured woman, Baker said. The neighbor called authorities for a welfare check about 9:30 a.m.
There was no indication that the deaths were a murder-suicide, Baker said.
