Memorial services have been scheduled for a 13-year-old Broomfield girl whose body was found last week.
Kelsey Shannon was reported as a runaway in October. Her body was found in a drainage ditch Wednesday. Her 18-year-old boyfriend, Alexander “Alex” Paul Pacheco, has been arrested in connection with her death.
Shannon’s family will hold a service to celebrate her life Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Family in Christ Community Church, 11355 Sheridan Blvd. in Westminster.
Memorial contributions to the Kelsey Marie Shannon Benefit account can be made at any TCF bank location. A family spokesperson said in a statement Sunday that the funds will be donated to “organizations that help families going through what we have gone through in these past months.”
