COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—No injuries are reported after a United Airlines flight from Denver to Albuquerque made an emergency landing in Colorado Springs.
Flight 6543, with 53 passengers and three crew members on board, had just left Denver International Airport Sunday evening when passengers say the pilot announced that the plane had blown a tire during takeoff.
Firefighters and ambulance crews responded to Colorado Springs Airport, but the jet landed safely at about 8:15 p.m.
SkyWest Airlines spokeswoman Marissa Snow says passengers left the aircraft on the runway and were taken back to the terminal. Utah-based SkyWest was operating the flight for United.
Another flight was arranged to take the passengers to Albuquerque.
