Three suspects have been arrested by Denver police in connection with a Sunday night shooting in which a 6-month-old girl was hit in the face.
The suspects — Lonell Pyles, 23, Deshawn Goode, 21, and a 16-year-old boy who was not named — were arrested overnight in northeast Denver without incident, said Sharon Avendaño, a police spokeswoman.
The shooting happened at about 5:20 p.m. Sunday as a group of people were playing video games at an apartment in the Villages at Gateway, 12175 Albrook Drive. The gunmen, part of the group, pulled out weapons and attempted to rob the residents of the apartment, police said.
A man and a 6-month-old girl were wounded by the gunfire, police said.
The victims were both in stable condition today, the man at Denver Health Medical Center and the baby at Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Avendaño said.
The man was shot once in the leg. As the gunmen fled the apartment, they sprayed bullets, hitting the infant in the cheek.
