EUGENE, Ore.—After two years at Northern Iowa, former Nebraska quarterback Scott Frost is returning to the Pac-10 Conference as wide receivers coach at the University of Oregon.
The 34-year-old Frost was co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Northern Iowa last year after joining the Panthers as linebackers coach in 2007.
Frost was the starting quarterback at Nebraska in 1996 and 1997. The Wood River, Neb., native joined the Huskers after transferring from Stanford, where he had been recruited by coaching legend Bill Walsh.
Frost led the Huskers to an undefeated season and national championship in 1997.
He played safety in the NFL for the New York Jets, Cleveland, Green Bay and Tampa Bay. He retired in 2004.
