DENVER—City officials are expanding an area for businesses tax incentives to include an area referred to as the heart of Denver’s Latino community.
The city’s Enterprise Zone will expand to an area officials say is littered with vacant buildings, a high unemployment rate, and social problems west of Federal Boulevard along Morrison Road.
The Office of Economic Development recommended the expansion. The zone provides up to nine state tax credit incentives.
