Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls lets her ferocious rock side fly on her third solo CD, “Didn’t It Feel Kinder.” She’ll showcase songs from that disc tonight at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, with Gregory Alan Isakov. $15. .

Billy Nershi fans can mourn the loss of his band String Cheese Incident — or they can celebrate the fact that Nershi continues to play a ton of shows around the U.S. as a solo artist and in other groups. Tonight’s show at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom has Nershi opening for Colorado bluegrass pickers Head for the Hills and the like-minded outfit Infamous Stringdusters. $15. .
