From steep canyon to broad valley, few people better understand the fly-fishing nuance of the South Platte River better than Pat Dorsey and Landon Mayer.
All this knowledge accumulated through dozens of years of guiding and demonstrations will be revealed during a “Meetings of the Minds” presentation to the High Plains Drifters Chapter of the Federation of Fly Fishers, 6 p.m., Feb. 18 at Red & Jerry’s Sports Restaurant, 1840 W. Oxford Ave.
Mayer, who currently is preparing his second book on sight fishing and large trout, also has arranged “The West’s Best Fly Fishing School,” a combination on-water and classroom presentation over two sessions, July 6-10 and July 13-17.
Each day will feature a different instructor: Ed Engle, Angus Drummond, Charlie Craven, John Barr and Clay Roberts. For information, call 719-210-0619.
