Fountain Creek flap.

The Cheyenne Mountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited has announced its opposition to a proposed flood control and habitat improvement project on Fountain Creek below Gold Mill Mesa. The Colorado Springs-based conservation group contends that current plans do not meet widely recognized restoration standards.

The chapter’s earlier participation was based on the presumption that its design team would provide the proper techniques for restoration of a viable fishery on the creek.
