Golden-based Coors Tek on Tuesday will hold an opening ceremony for a new ceramic armor manufacturing plant in Golden to be operated by subsidiary Coors Tek Armor Solutions USA.
The plant, which has been operating for several months, makes armor for vehicles, aircraft and body protection.
CoorsTek last year purchased DEW Engineering, an Ottawa-based armor maker. The Golden plant is located at the site of a former sake beverage maker.
