DENVER—Five people have been arrested in connection with a January shootout in Denver that injured three people.

But police are saying little about the gunfight or what caused it.

On Saturday Denver Police said tips led them to arrest 24-year-old Afshin Abbasi and 20-year-old Francisco Southern on investigation of first-degree assault, criminal intent and possession of a controlled substance.

Also arrested were 27-year-old Michael Sodia, 28-year-old Jose Sandoval and 24-year-old Cecelia Rodriguez, all for investigation of drug possession charges.

The arrests were in connection with a triple shooting in downtown Denver on Jan. 4. All three survived the gunbattle, which police say started after an early morning argument in a parking lot.
