Coors Tek Armor Solutions, a new subsidiary of Golden-based ceramics manufacturer Coors Tek, on Tuesday opened a 75,000-square-foot facility in Golden.
The CoorsTek unit, established last June, makes armor components for ground and marine vehicles and aircraft.
CoorsTek spokesman Harrison Hartman said the privately held company doesn’t disclose employment figures for its subsidiaries. Including a facility in New York, the armor unit occupies two of the 20 facilities that Coors Tek operates.
