Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain will air six Rockies games from spring training, starting with the Cleveland Indians game at 2 p.m., March 22.
The other telecasts are home games against the Brewers, March 23; the Cubs, March 28; and the Diamondbacks, March 30; and two games in Las Vegas against the Mariners, April 3-4.
FSN Rocky Mountain will be the exclusive home for Rockies’ broadcasts and will air 150 regular-season games, starting with the season opener at 1:30 p.m. April 6 against the Diamondbacks in Phoenix.
CU hires offensive line coach.
Colorado football coach Dan Hawkins has hired former Illinois State coach Denver Johnson as the Buffaloes’ offensive line coach, the Bloomington (Ill.) Pantagraph reported Tuesday.
An announcement from CU is planned for today, the paper reported.
Johnson, 50, compiled a 69-66 record over 12 years as a college head coach. Nine of those seasons were with Illinois State, three at Murray State.
He retired as Illinois State coach at the end of last season after going 48-54 at the school.
Slumping Eagles fall.
The Colorado Eagles lost 4-3 to the Rapid City Rush, dropping three Central Hockey Leagues games in a row for the first time this season.
