An woman who had been the focus of a search since her disappearance last weekend has been found, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said today.

Brenda Sue Porter, 45, was found in Edwards, “safe and sound,” authorities said.

She faces domestic violence and criminal mischief charges, however, for unspecified events from the day she disappeared, the sheriff’s department said. She is free on $1,000 bond.

Porter was last heard from about 4 p.m. on Feb. 14, when she called made a call to 9-1-1 from the Eagle River Village Mobile Home Park in Edwards and said “No, no don’t take me,” before hanging up, police said.
