State troopers are investigating a fatality in which a pedestrian was hit by an Acura sport-utility vehicle in south metro Denver last night.
A 37-year-old Denver man, Sergy V. Nagoga, was hit crossing East Florida Avenue near South Parker Road just before 9 p.m., said Trooper David Hall.
“He wasn’t crossing at a crosswalk, and there’s very minimal lighting in this area,” Hall said, reached by cell phone at the scene.
Troopers are investigating to determine if any charges will be filed against the driver, Aleksey Nouoseletskiy, 36.
Drugs or alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash
