LINCOLN, Neb.—Kyla Walnofer and Laura Tomjack scored 11 points apiece and Chambers held off Paxton 45-43 in the Class D2 semifinals at the girls state tournament Friday.

The Coyotes’ Randi Miller made a big steal with 13 seconds left and her team leading by three points. Chambers (24-1) advanced to the state final for the first time since 2004. The Coyotes will play Ewing (22-3).

Barbie DeCent had 12 points and Sydney Gartner 10 for lead Paxton (16-6).
