MINNEAPOLIS — Most of us are too depressed by our declining 401(k)s to peek at the stock market these days. But Minnesota Twins fans will have reason to watch it.
The Twins will discount certain seats for Monday home games this season based on the Dow Jones Industrials. The promotion will tie the cost of tickets in the “Home Run Porch” area in lower left field to the number at which the Dow closes on the preceding Friday.
For example, if it’s in the 7,000s on Friday, those seats will cost $7 on Monday. If it’s in the 6,000s, it’s $6. And if it’s in the, well, let’s not go there right now.
The regular price of those lower left-field seats is $21.
The promotion excludes the April 6 opener and Memorial Day. There’s a limit of eight tickets per person. The Twins are in their final season in the ghastly Metrodome.
