LINCOLN, Neb.—Alyssa Kamphaus scored 19 points and unbeaten Seward all but shut down Alliance star Jordan Hooper to advance to the Class B championship game with a 44-21 semifinal victory Friday night at the girls state tournament.

Alliance (20-4) missed 26 of 27 shots while falling behind 20-2 by halftime. Hooper, who scored 32 points in a first-round win over Adams Central, started just 1-for-7 from the field and finished with a team-high eight points.

Seward (24-0), which plays Lincoln Pius X (20-2) in Saturday’s final, led 17-0 in the middle of the second quarter.

Natasha Mueller added 10 points for the Bluejays.
