DENVER—Police were fanning out across the Denver metro area Sunday hoping to find those on this year’s “50 Most Wanted Fugitive Round Up.”
Police last year arrested 32 out of 50 on the list. Eighteen agencies from the metro area are taking part in the 14th annual roundup.
Colorado Bureau of Investigation director Ron Sloan says there are more than 29,000 outstanding felony warrants in Colorado. Those on this year’s round up face charges ranging from assault to attempted first-degree murder.
The effort was being coordinated by the Fugitive Location Apprehension Group, which includes Denver police and six other law enforcment agencies.
