Christy Sports has asked a federal appeals court to rehear its case that alleges Deer Valley ski complex in Utah violated antitrust laws when it restricted the Lakewood-based company from offering ski rentals there and competing with a resort-run rental shop.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit issued its decision three weeks ago in favor of the ski resort. The new petition says appellate judges failed to follow precedent established by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Christy continues to rent skis at Deer Valley pending the outcome of the case and another lawsuit in Utah.
