ERIE — Police are investigating several reports of vandalism to cars in the Vista Pointe subdivision over the weekend.

The crimes happened about 12:45 a.m. Sunday, according to Erie police Lt. Lee Mathis. Victims found their vehicles, which were parked on the street, with broken windows, shattered mirrors and other damage.

The damage is estimated to be in the thousands of dollars, according to Mathis. Witnesses said they saw a silver car, maybe a Saturn or a Honda, leave the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Erie police detective Dave Taylor at 303-926-2800. Residents also can report suspicious activity by calling Boulder County dispatch at 303-441-4444.
