CARBONDALE, Colo.—An 85-year-old Carbondale woman is dead after being struck by two vehicles while trying to cross an unlit section of Colorado 82 near her home.
The Colorado State Patrol says Pamela McPherson was walking across the four-lane highway at about 10:03 p.m. Tuesday when she was struck by a minivan about a half-mile east of the Carbondale/Colorado 133 intersection.
The patrol says McPherson was knocked to the ground and then struck a second time by a sedan. She died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported, and no citations were issued. Trooper Matthew Billadeau says the case remains under investigation.
