Getting your player ready...

NASCAR star Tony Stewart, right, is used to racing around the track at 180 mph, yet he was a bit awestruck Thursday after seeing what the average Army tank driver endures. Stewart and NHRA driver Tony Schumacher spent several hours with soldiers at Fort Knox in western Kentucky. The drivers took turns firing rounds at enemy tanks and had a little fun while taking the wheel of a Humvee during a desert training simulation. The drivers, who have cars sponsored by the U.S. Army, also managed their way down a 50-foot rappelling tower on the base. Getting in the harness was no easy task for the stout Stewart, but he couldn’t help but laugh when someone suggested he “suck it in.” “I try to do that every day when I get in the car,” he said.
